One mouse, two mice!
The morning class had some coloring and cutting practice when we arrived. We used red, blue and yellow rock crayons. They are so easy for our little hands to hold correctly. (You can find them online.) We like to try cutting with scissors. I think it makes us feel grown up!
Our afternoon started by making a mouse! We had some cutting, gluing and coloring to do on this project! Again, I am amazed that we all have the same materials, yet each mouse is as unique as each child!
At circle, we focused on our ABC's, reading our names and the color yellow. we also did some mouse counting and the afternoon class talked about
"more or less".
MIss Melani brought another fun obstacle course for us.
We were jumping frogs today!
Miss Kathy shared a book about what might happen if you bring a mouse to school! Maybe, we should leave them at home!
In the morning, we played Hickory, Dickory, Dock with Miss Julie. We had to ask for which animal and which color we wanted to take "up & down" the clock.
We had a few minutes to explore shape and color design blocks
in the morning before snack.
In the afternoon, we worked with our Wednesday groups. Miss Kathy worked on some phonological awareness with us. We got to break sentences!
We learned that letters make words and words make sentences.
We did a fantastic job! Miss Kathy was so proud!
Miss Julie's Wednesday group played Hickory, Dickory, Dock!
Grapes and tortilla chips were a delicious snack!
In the afternoon, we had some delicious, tart apples that were picked at the orchard, by one of our friends! YUM!
