Mice and an elephant ?
We began class by expressing our creativity. We got to paint with watercolors!
We tried hard to remember to put the paint brush in the water between colors.
We also tried to hold our paint brushes with our three fingers,
just like a pencil or crayon.

At circle, the morning class worked on name reading, then sang the ABC's, and the BLUE & GREEN songs. Then we took turns unlatching a Spiderman box, counting the green objects inside and latching the box closed.
It was a pretty cool box!

In the afternoon, we also sang our alphabet and color songs. We completed a calendar lesson. Then we sang a fun new song about an ant, a bug and a bee. We will do a lesson in our school books with these critters this week.

Miss Melani brought the yoga mats! The morning class was introduced to some poses for the first time. Most of the kids in the afternoon remembered yoga from last year!

MIss KAthy shared a story about seven different colored, blind mice. They worked together as a team to discover what the big SOMETHING was,
 that came by their house.

Miss Julie shared a fun, and new, version of our favorite nursery rhyme - Hickory, Dickory, Dock. Many new animals came to visit the clock. The animals were different sizes. We worked together to put the animals in order from smallest to biggest.

Ask your child what happened when the elephant ran up the clock!!

Miss Julie's Wednesday group also did the HIckory, Dickory, Dock activity.

Miss Kathy's Wednesday afternoon group worked on tracing different kinds of lines, with an ant, a bug & a bee, in our school books.

The watermelon snack was cool, sweet & juicy!!
