MOUSE PAINT
Our day started with sorting. Sorting is a pre-literacy and early math skill! We sorted shapes. In the afternoon, we extended our shape sort by sorting each shape by size (small, medium and large).
At circle we sang all three of our color songs. The morning class counted different color objects using the shakey eggs.
The afternoon class also completed a quick calendar, and
wished a Happy Birthday to one of our friends!
The afternoon class is learning to read! We are working on reading color words! We know that letters go together, in a certain order, to make words!
We worked on our skills and practiced moving in a line. We tried different ways of moving on the line. We practiced our one foot balance and jumping!
Miss Kathy shared an exciting big book about three mice that found some paint. We were surprised to watch those mice mix red + yellow, blue + yellow
and red + blue to make new colors! We tried it, too!

We enjoyed some free choice play time with our friends!
We had a peanut butter and raspberry snack...YUM!
