FUN FRIDAY !!

 

The morning class enjoyed drawing lines and shapes in shaving cream!
 

 

The afternoon had free choice play when they arrived because it is Fun Friday!!
 

 

At morning circle, we sang the ABC's, all 3 color songs and played a different game with the shape song. We each had one shape and had to decide "What" shape it was and if it was the "same" or "matched" Miss Kathy's shape.

 

Afternoon circle consisted of the alphabet song, 3 color songs, and some name work. We also "ordered" our 10 mice from number 1 to number 10,

on our spot!

 

 

We are improving our motor skills with daily practice. We balance on one foot, jump, with both feet off the floor, and walk, jump & side step along the line!
 

 

The morning class had fun shaking their sillies out with Raffi. The afternoon class tried a new movement song. It focused on front, back, side, forward, backward, sideways, left and right! It has a very groovy beat and everyone, including the teachers, liked it!

Miss Kathy read a story about what might happen if you give a mouse a cookie!
In the afternoon we noticed that the same author and illustrator wrote this book as wrote the book we read the other day!

 

 

Miss Julie played a Hickory, Dickory, Dock game, with the morning class,
 where WE were the mouse!

  Miss Julie's Friday afternoon group played the Hickory, Dickory, Dock game where we had to requst the animal and color, using a complete sentence, to take up and down the clock.
 

 

In the afternoon, Miss Kathy had her Friday group "break sentences". This is an early literacy skill to identify how many words in a sentence. 
 

 

The morning class had some time for free choice play. They enjoyed a couple of new choices; the rocking boat and building a train track.
