FUN FRIDAY!!!

We had a geometry kind of day...
We enjoyed exploring many shapes when we arrived this morning!
We talked about shapes, colors, positions...

You can play peek-a-boo with shapes!

Everybody clean up!
The afternoon class started out with free play time!
Since we squeeze in so much each day, with the afternoon class, we often run out of time to enjoy choosing our own activities to share with our friends. So, starting this week, we will enjoy FUN FRIDAY at the beginning of every Friday!
Friday will now be our favorite day (that is until the weather cools and we start our outdoor play on Thursdays)!
Miss Julie was just a little concerned with her doctor... Was he able to SEE her?

SMILE!

We sang our ABC song and a color song in circle. The afternoon class continued learning about the calendar. We have introduced the months of the year and the numeral for the date. We also have talked about why it is important to have a calendar. It would be great if you could share your calendar with your child. Later we will add in the days of the week and the weather report. Then the children will begin to help "teach" the calendar.

Get a drink and meet me on the ABC rug...

We practiced our motor skills and had fun shaking our sillies out!

Miss Kathy shared a book about shapes that we see around us everyday!

Miss Julie brought a fun shape game for our morning class.. We got to build a rocket ship and a train!

In the afternoon, we flipped our Wednesday groups. Miss Julie had her group complete a shape book to bring home and share with you!

Miss Kathy and her group enjoyed the ABC's with Maisy. We also looked at some photographs of real mice.

Our snack was fun, too! We had pretzels, banana chips and raisons
to dip in peanut butter!

Have a happy weekend and feel free to leave a comment at the end of this blog!
