Pumpkin Time!

We started our morning by sewing on lacing cards, learning letters, with technology, on the Leap Frogs and matching Sesame Street
characters for Dominoes!

In the afternoon, we worked with a friend to match and order the
capital letters of the alphabet.

Morning circle consisted of singing the alphabet, the green song and the shape song. We practiced reading our names and saying a complete sentence.

The afternoon circle added a quick calendar lesson.

We had fun moving "IN A LINE" to practice some of our motor skills.

We have a pumpkin in our class! Miss Kathy bought it at a store. But, we read a BIG book today that explained where pumpkins really come from. We practiced ordering the sequence of the life cycle of pumpkins.

The morning class sang the Mat Man song and then we all drew our own
Mat Man. We remembered that our arms and legs grow
from our body, not our head!

The afternoon class colored, cut and glued green things on a green paper.

It was fun to be back at school learning with our friends!

FUN  FRIDAY  !!

Our morning started with fun exploring the light table and magnets.

In the afternoon, it was free choice play.
Who wears pink shoes? All of the girls!

We sang our songs at circle. We also worked on name reading, answering in complete sentences and counting.

We did a fun review of all of our motor skill work.

The morning class enjoyed re-reading Mouse Paint.

The afternoon class had a fun new story that one of our friends shared from home (Thanks!). We learned how similar a mouse and an elephant can be in appearance. They both can be grey, have big ears and a skinny tail. The moral of the story was that all books should have pictures!

This morning, Miss Julie brought a mouse puppet. We got to feed him some yummy food, after we asked for it in a complete sentence.

Morning free time was fun!

Miss Julie's Friday afternoon group had fun seeing many different animals go up & down
the Hickory, Dickory, Dock clock (say that 5 times fast). Then they put all the
animals in order by size.

In Miss Kathy's Friday group we worked on tracing and holding our crayon with a pinching grasp, in our school books.

We said a fond farewell to one of our friends who will be going to a new school next week. Ice cream melts fast, but is delicious!

Whew...what a busy day!
