WEDNESDAY...WOW!
Our fingers got warmed up with play-doh when we arrived at school.
We used cookie cutters, rollers and other tools. We all worked on how
to make a ball and a snake. The afternoon class attempted to form their initial, from the play-doh, before we cleaned up.
What a nice calming activity that allows us to socialize with
our friends at the table.
our friends at the table.
The morning class happily sang our learning songs and used the
whisper phones to count insects.
In the afternoon we worked with lower case & capital letters of the alphabet.
We enjoyed singing the months of the year song. We talked about April Fool's Day. A few of the children really took off with trying to fool the teachers. Don't be surprised if they try to pull a trick on you!
Miss Melani brought a fun bunny hop obstacle course for us.
we also tried an awesome challenge, it was a group caterpillar crawl!
Miss Kathy shared a learning poster about a butterfly life cycle. Of course,
we had to act out each phase ourselves. Ask your child about it!
Miss Julie and her morning group worked with The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Miss Kathy & Miss Pam enjoyed working on print concepts with their morning groups. We practiced turning one page at a time, touching each word as the teacher read, from top to bottom and from left to right.
In the afternoon, Miss Julie & her group started working on a cool, follow the directions, bug book. It will be a two week project.
Miss Kathy & Miss Cindy worked with their groups on forming a capital
letter "R" in our school books!
We had fun and will be ready to come back and do it again tomorrow!
