FUN FRIDAY!
*There will be no BLOG on Tuesday. Look for us on Wednesday!*

This morning Miss Kathy made some big messes! She dumped all
of the transportation toys on the floor. We all helped her pick them up
and sort them by color! We checked them and we were 100% correct!
Then, she did it again...
Next, we sorted all of the toys in a different way. We sorted by type
of transportation toy. All of the cars went together, all of the trains,
airplanes, boats, busses and fire trucks were sorted into like groups!

The afternoon class had Fun Friday choices...inside and outside!
We love choosing activities to share with our friends!

We sang our morning songs.

The afternoon class worked on ABC's and sang Learning
Letter Sounds. We completed the calendar lesson!

Miss Kathy brought in an article from the newspaper. This article made
her HAPPY when she read it last night. It was all about the baby elephant, Nandi. She lives at the Tucson Zoo. She is having fun playing with her brother.

We had a surprise visitor today. It was Pete the Cat. He is so cool!
We listened to and watched a story, on the computer, about how
he does not get angry when little deals happen!
Parents, check out Pete the Cat on Youtube!

Miss Julie's Friday morning group read stories about things that made
children angry and a fun way to stop feeling angry.
 (Hint: Grandma's are helpful!)

Miss Cindy and Miss Pam worked on matching, naming and
 ordering capital letters.

In the afternoon, Miss Cindy and Miss Kathy worked on writing
capital "V" & "W".

Miss Julie and her afternoon group watched the Pixar Shorts to identify emotions on the animated characters. They used context clues, body language and facial expressions to determine how the characters were feeling.

Free choice play in the morning!
