SUPER FUN FRIDAY!!
Our day started with Fun Friday choices. There were fun things at
the sensory table, bikes, wagon, balls or inside play to choose from today.
We sang our learning songs this morning, then we voted for favorite
book as a re-read, to end our insect unit.
Ten Little Ladybugs was the morning winner.
We worked on alphabet fluency and the calendar in the afternoon. We sang Learning Letter Sounds. We all enjoy the reggae beat and it will help us read!
We also voted for our favorite book to re-read.
was the afternoon winner.
We all acted out the life cycle of butterflies. That got us up and moving and helped to put that information into our long term memory by acting it out.
We had small group work in the morning. Miss Cindy worked with her group to color, cut, order & glue the sequence of the butterfly life cycle.
Miss Kathy & her group had fun building bridges, trains & tall
towers with blocks.
The afternoon class worked in small groups. Miss Kathy and her group learned the correct formation for the capital "K". It can be tricky with 2 "diagonal" lines.
Miss Cindy helped her group to finish the spatial concepts insect book.
We had a very special snack today. It was an edible butterfly life cycle snack! YUM!!
Here are all the parts... |
Now, sequence them to show the butterfly life cycle. |
Then, our final surprise...
our butterflies turned into rings. We let our butterflies fly home with us for a happy weekend!
