FUN FRIDAY!
The morning class began with a BIG SORT! Miss Kathy dumped a box
full of colorful objects onto the floor. First, we sorted these things
into six different color groups. Then Miss Kathy dumped them again!
So, we sorted the things into like groups by type. We sorted blocks,
frogs and dinosaurs! When we re-grouped and checked our work,
we had sorted everything into correct groups!
The afternoon began with Fun Friday!
We had a special, surprise activity today. We got to hunt for Easter eggs
with Miss Diane's class. We each got to find and keep 2 eggs!
Boy, that was very exciting!
The morning class sang our learning songs and played a new challenge.
We sat in a circle and passed a beanbag to our neighbor. We counted
each time the egg was passed. We went around 20 times!
We used the star pointers to point to the ABC letters. Miss Kathy used a red laser light to point. |
Funny, the red laser light went all the way to the ceiling. But, Miss Kathy could really tell who was looking! |
We completed the calendar and worked on alphabet fluency in the afternoon.
It was fun to use the finger laser light pointers. It really helped us to remember to LOOK at each letter as we said it. |
Miss Kathy shared another science book. It told us where insects live. The last page really grossed out the afternoon class!
The morning class did their Friday afternoon work. Miss Julie's group cut
and glued big and little food to feed a big and little caterpillar.
Miss Cindy & Miss Pam practiced print concepts with their
group. They practiced turning one page at a time and
touching under each word as it was read.
We had a great day!
Have a wonderful weekend!
