"IT'S ALL GOOD!"
That's what Pete the Cat tells us and we agree!

We warmed up fingers and creativity with play-doh when we arrived.

Look, it's a finger tutu!

The morning class sang the ABC song & our color songs.

The afternoon class worked with alphabet fluency and completed the calendar.
I cannot even trick them anymore about what will happen tomorrow if today
is the last day of the month!

We all enjoyed a fast and slow movement break with the ribbons!

Our new friend, Pete the Cat, returned today. He reminds us that we don't
need to get too upset when things happen. Today's story was about how
Pete handled losing his groovy buttons from his favorite shirt! You can look for
Pete on Youtube! I will warn you that if you listen to this song,
it will play over & over in your head!

Do you have a button?
Yes, your belly button!

Everyone was very excited to find out that they were making their very
own Pete the Cat! We will hang them in the classroom to enjoy before
they bring them home for you!

First, put your name at the bottom of your paper.

Pick up Pete's head...

and glue on the top of your paper.

Next, put his favorite yellow shirt right under his head.

Now, find 2 yellow rectangles and glue them to the bottom of his shirt.

Then, glue his 4 blue paws on the bottom of his legs.

Now, you can put his tail coming from the side of his shirt.

Let's glue the 2 yellow eyes on his head.

Finally, let's glue the 4 groovy button on his shirt.

Say, "Pete".

We had a birthday queen this morning!
Happy Birthday!!

It was a super, great day!

WOW...Wednesday!!

We explored letters, colors and shapes on the light table, when we arrived today. We also worked our fine motor muscles as we put beads on a string.

At morning circle we used our laser finger pointers to point to each letter
as we sang the alphabet song. We sang some color songs and counted
 into the whisper phones.

The afternoon class worked on alphabet fluency and completed calendar.

We worked another sound sort this afternoon. We sorted pictures, by the sound we hear at the beginning of the word, using B, R and F.
We are really hearing the initial letter sounds!

Al aboard the fun train with Miss Melani!!
We worked together as we traveled around campus in our own
hula hoop train car. We were all connected and worked on
 cooperating to move the train!

Miss Julie and her morning & afternoon groups listened to a story about feeling sad. They talked about what our bodies and faces look like when we are sad. Then they watched a video about a sheep that was so proud of his beautiful wool coat. Then, the farmer took him to the barn for a shearing. Ask your child how the sheep felt when he returned to the field.

Miss Kathy & Miss Pam's group used the wikki-stix to make pre-writing
strokes. Some of us were even able to trace our initial with a wikki-stix.
We strengthen our fingers as we work the wikki-stix, as well as refine
 our visual perception.

Miss Kathy & Miss Pam worked with capital letter formation of
"X", "Y", and "Z", with their afternoon group.

We had a good day and are looking forward to being together again tomorrow!
