We're not afraid...

How fun to start our day with turning our painted pumpkins into
Jack-O-Lanterns! Each child had 2 eyes, a nose and a mouth,
but each Jack looked unique! We will keep the Jacks to decorate our room and send them home in time for Halloween!

We sang our circle songs, and the afternoon class completed a calendar lesson.

The morning class worked a little more with our special letters or initial. We even built our special letter using wooden lines and curves!

The afternoon class read our color words. So far, we are reading the following color words: red, blue, green, yellow and orange.

Miss Kathy shared a story about a little, old lady who was not afraid of anything. We had fun acting the story out, using picture props! We talked, again, about how we can have fun getting a little scared, but Halloween creatures are not real. They are only in books, movies or kids dressed in costumes.
WE ARE NOT REALLY AFRAID!!

Dance/movement breaks are a great way to help us re-focus
 to complete more work!

The morning class enjoyed some free choice play.

The afternoon class cut, ordered and glued our bats from Tuesday,
 to spell our names!

Another day of learning with our friends!!
