Pumpkin Heads...
*important note at the end of today's blog...please, read.*
Our morning began with some sorting. We sorted a large group of objects into things to eat & animals. One friend even made a group of ocean animals!
Then it was time to clean up, so we sorted all the objects into like
color groups to put them away.

The afternoon class had a couple of options. They could finish coloring and cutting their pumpkins. There were also puzzles to explore.

At our circle, in the morning, we sang our songs and worked with our names. We each got a special letter. It was the first letter of our name, or our initial. We all practiced naming the letters.

Miss Kathy shared a very fun book about what we can do with pumpkins
 in the month of October.

We had a review of line walking on tip toes, sideways and jumping.
We also danced to the freeze, in the morning. You can dance any way you want when you hear the music. But, when the music stops, you have to freeze like a popsicle! In the afternoon, we sang, Where do you start your letters?

Miss Elaine came today with some materials to stamp circles with paint.
Lots of circles! We will bring our beautiful abstracts home tomorrow,
when they are dry.

Miss Kathy showed the morning class how to use spooky cookie cutter shapes with play doh. That was fun!

The afternoon class worked on drawing squares in our school books.

We celebrated a fall break birthday this morning.
Happy birthday, sweet friend!
 The cookies were yummy!

There will be no blog tomorrow. Miss Kathy will be out of town. The next blog will be on October 21, after we return from fall break. Enjoy!!
