It's getting spooky around here...
We began our day by painting some beautiful, big pumpkins. We will turn them into jack-o-lanterns later, to decorate our room. We also enjoyed creating a spooky scene with stickers and chalk. It really works our fine motor skills and eye hand coordination to peel the stickers. As we have fun making things spooky, please, be assured that we always talk about how Halloween creatures are not real. We talk about how the spooky things are in books and movies, but are not real. We also tell the children if they see spooky creatures walking around on Halloween, we know that it is only people dressed in costumes.
It's fun to get a little spooked!
We sang our circle songs, worked on some skills and
completed calendar (in the aftrenoon). We also had a dance break!
Miss Melani had a spooky obstacle course for us today! We walked around pumpkins, walked across witch fingers and stepped over jack-o-lanterns and a witch hat. Lots of balance work!
Miss Kathy shared a spooky book!
Miss Julie also had a spooky story that introduced us to some Halloween creatures, helping to expand our vocabulary. We met a ghost, goblin, monster, vampire, witch and mummy! Then we played a fun & challenging game, called "WHO is IN my pumpkin?"
Miss Kathy's Wednesday group worked on writing the letter "F", with correct formation, in our school books.
We love learning together!
