The day after...
was great!

We started our day exploring blocks of various shapes and colors. We made some pretty cool designs! Hey, it's geometry!

We made a rocket ship,

flowers,

more flowers,

a lion with a mane,

a machine that moves things,

a road,

a cool design,

a  train that has coal & lots of cars,

and mountains.

When Miss Kathy rings the bell, we must STOP, LOOK & LISTEN.... hands up!

At circle time, we enjoyed telling about our trick or treat experiences. The afternoon class had MUCH to share!!It sounds like everyone had fun!

We sang the alphabet song. The morning class continues to work with the Amazing Alphabet Poster.

In the afternoon, Miss Kathy introduced us to dogs that sing the alphabet, too. We will use the alphabet dogs to help us practice early print concepts. We start with the letters at the top and move to the bottom and we move from left to right, as we touch each letter. We will learn how to touch just under the letters when we sing, so that our eyes can see, our ears will hear our voices, our mouths will sing the letters and our hands will point to each letter. Miss Kathy tells us that will help our brains learn new things better!

Miss Kathy read a BIG book to us that showed many ways that we can move. Of course, we had to get up and try moving in these ways, too!

We can piggyback...

walk in a line...

jump...

roll...

twirl...

and hop!

The morning class played a game using cookies made from different shapes and colors. They also worked on their fine motor/grasping as they colored. We worked on making horizontal and vertical lines, as well as some shapes. We all wrote our names on the paper, too.

Today we said good-bye to one of our friends from the morning class and one from the afternoon class! Farewell girls, we will miss you!!

*We have had several children coming to school with coughs & runny noses. While your child is permitted to come to school with a cold, I would like you
to consider carefully that there are several
other children that have compromised immune
systems and can get very sick, very easily.
Thank you for your consideration. *
