First, let's begin by saying "Thank You!" to Miss Corrine.  She filled in for Miss Kathy today and did a great job. We started our day by working with letter shapes: big lines, little lines, big curves, and little curves. We used them to make all the letters of the alphabet.

We practiced writing our names. We had to remember to pinch that pencil.

Then Miss Corrine talked about how a turkey grows.  Do you know the name of a baby turkey? It's a poult! We got to role play the stages in a turkey's life: being in the egg, hatching from the egg, being a growing poult scratching for bugs, and being an adult turkey.

After we role played we completed a sequencing activity about the turkey's life. We had to cut and glue and put the pictures in the right order. You will find those papers in backpacks.

Hooray for Wednesdays because Miss Melanie visits our class. After yoga we collected leaves in the "forest." The path was challenging but we all made it through.

In the morning we had story time.  Miss Julie told a folk story about how the turkey got his colorful tail. It involved a sad turkey and a lot of paint. Don't worry. The story has a happy ending.
Dip the brush into the paint...

...paint your face...

...paint your legs...

Voila! A colorful turkey!

Snack today was apples and Cheerios in the morning, and apples, tortillas, and peanut butter in the afternoon.
