Pete The Cat comes to our class!

Today we met a cat named Pete. We tried the sign for "cat'.
Miss Kathy read (& sang) about Pete's 4 groovy buttons.
The buttons popped off his shirt one by one. Did Pete cry? Goodness no!
We will be reading & singing several of Pete's adventures this year!

We began our day our day by pickiing up small beads with tongs. What a challenge! It helps us build up our fine motor skills, especially for cutting.
The afternoon class also had a chance to read to their book buddies.

We enjoyed singing out circle songs and completing calendar.

It was time to move, so we worked our way through a fun obstacle course. We went over, under, through, up and down!

We did some scissor work with Miss Elaine today. Some of us did some snipping and others cut out some basic shapes.

Oranges and popcorn made a delicious snack in the morning.
The afternoon class enjoyed celebrating our friends birthday. The birthday king especially enjoyed his treat!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
