Are you wearing buttons today?

We began our day exploring some different things in the sensory tubs! There was soft, white flour, dry rice and cool, wet "slush". We even found some of Pete the Cats buttons in the tubs.

We sang our songs and completed the calendar. Then we had fun with a story
re-tell. Miss Kathy had a question of the day for us. She asked, "Are you wearing buttons today?"  We had to check our clothes carefully. Some buttons were found on shirts, on shorts and even on pockets. We picked a button sticker and put it on the correct answer side of a paper to show if we had buttons. We counted to see if more kids did or did not have buttons today.

We enjoyed shaking our sillies, clapping our crazies and jumping our jiggles out, with Raffi.

Then, Miss Kathy shared part of a book that showed some of the things that a real cat can do.

We all colored our own Pete today. We found 3 groovy, matching buttons for his shirt. It can be tricky to peel the button stickers off the paper!

The afternoon class worked on the capital "E" in our school books, too!

We savored some sweet, juicy oranges and Veggie Straws for snack! The afternoon class had bananas.
