I like my shoes!!
****Please take a minute to leave a comment at the end of this post. We would love to know****
****who is looking at our blog and where you are from.*****

Today, the morning students explored some Leap Pad games
& played a turtle color matching game.

The afternoon children had fun with uni-fix cube patterns. The remainder of the
 students made their button patterns.

"Oops...I dropped the button in the wrong color!"
We all sang color songs. The morning students had fun shaking the "shakey eggs" under their chin, beside their ear, rainbows over their heads, slow and, of course everyone's favorite...FAST!!

The afternoon class completed the calendar.

We got to watch a video about Pete the Cat and the white shoes that he loves. (You can Google "Pete the Cat videos" to watch some of the videos yourself. They are very entertaining, as you can see from this photo!)

What fun it is to play with balls! We worked on rolling the ball to our friends in the morning. We had to say the name of the friend we were rolling the ball to, before we rolled it. We also practiced kicking the ball.
In the afternoon we, also, bounced balls to our friends.

Super kicker!

Miss Julie read a great story about a little girl that bought some pretty new red shoes to wear to a party. We got to color some shoes to show a color we liked!

It was a fun and busy day with our friends!

What a BUSY day!

We began our day exploring in the sensory tubs.

Some of the afternoon kids had fun coloring button patterns.

The morning class sang their shape song, the alphabet song
and our number chant. The afternoon class completed calendar activities.
Then it was time to shake our sillies out!

Very exciting new story today with Pete The Cat.

He LOVES his white shoes. But, OH NO, what happens
when he steps in a large pile of strawberries?
It was a very interesting story!

Very interesting!!

We played some air guitar as we sang along with Pete!

The morning class did some color sorting and counting.
The afternoon class found some numbers hiding in the tag bags.
 We put 1-12 in order!

Peaches and crackers were a delicious snack!

How many buttons are you wearing today?

We enjoyed some time to read books when we arrived at school today!

At circle, the morning class was introduced to a new color song...green.
We also sang the alphabet song.

The afternoon class completed the calendar and a question of the day.
How many buttons are you wearing today?

We had fun shaking our sillies out with Raffi.
Then Miss Kathy shared a book about CAT.
We had to find out cat's favorite color.

Miss Melani came to do yoga with us today.

Miss Julie had a fun follow up lesson about buttons. We each got a jacket (like Toad had in the story from last week). Then we had to listen carefully and look closely to find the right button that Miss Julie described. We glued them onto the jacket from the top to the bottom.

The morning class had kitchen time!

The afternoon class practiced writing their names and making
a beautiful picture.
It's a motorcycle!

It's my family!

It's a tiger!

Bananas & Wheat Thins for snack!
