Twinkle, Twinkle....

We explored play doh when we arrived at school. There was rolling, poking, pounding and we even cut the play doh with scissors. It helped
get our hands warmed up for writing later.

This morning, we used our ears to listen to directions about different ways to use our shakey eggs."shake your egg beside your ear, above your head...". We also counted with our eggs. We sang the ABC's.

We completed the calendar in the afternoon. We are learning a new song about the sounds that different letters make.

In the morning, Miss Kathy sang our story!

In the morning, we worked to strengthen our fine motor skills by playing aim & scribble. We each had a paper with very small drawings on it. We hold our crayons up in the air until Miss Kathy says, "Ready...scribble." Then we put our crayon ON the picture and scribble, scribble, scribble until we hear Miss Kathy say, "Stop!". Then we do it again! It will help us to refine our coloring skills by moving from a whole arm coloring motion to a smaller, more controlled, coloring motion. We also practiced our pre-writing strokes by tracing a cross and a circle.

In the afternoon, we wrote the letter "S" in our school books.

We all loved playing outside in the warm sunshine!
