Thursday is recess day...YEA!!
The morning started with exploring wooden lines and curves or building with blocks! There was some nice team work and very tall towers!
The afternoon began by building capital letters with lines and curves. We also worked as a team to pass the bean bags. We had to stay ready with our hands on our legs and keep an eye on the bean bag so we could be ready when it came to us. This takes lots of focus and sustained attention. We will keep working on it :) .
We sang our morning songs. We used the rhythm sticks to count and
work on spatial concepts.
The afternoon class completed calendar.
Miss Kathy read a fun nursery rhyme called Old Mother Hubbard. Boy, did she do some silly things.
The morning class listened to a song about things that you can make from a circle, square or triangle. Then we drew our own shapes. We are all getting good at drawing our shapes.
The afternoonclass learned to write 2 letters today..."P" & "B". We first made them using a big line and one or two little curves, then we completed our school ook pages. We remembered to start our letters at the top!
Then the best part of the day - outside recess!
Morning snackers slurpped applesauce from a straw and the afternoon class peeled and enjoyed some sweet, juicy cuties!
