Hey, Diddle, Diddle...
Today was Fun Friday!!

This morning we explored making desigsn with the pattern blocks. There are lots of shapes and many colors.

The afternoon class had fun Friday where we have free choice play at the beginning of class! This was a happy group of children!

We wrote our names.

We sang our morning songs.

We completed the afternoon calendar. Miss Kathy shared a new song with us called Learning Letter Sounds. This song will help us as we learn to read.

We like to dance. Today we danced to a song called The Freeze. When you hear the music, you can dance any way you want, but when the music stops, you must freeze like a popsicle.

We acted out the nursery rhyme, Hey, Diddle, Diddle, with Miss Julie.
 It was fun!

The afternoon students started a new activity. It was an alphabet sorting lesson. We used the letters A-G. We cut them apart and then had to sort them on a paper. The letters are made from different fonts. It is interesting to see some of the differences in how a letter can look. Next week we will sort and glue them down. We will bring them home to proudly share them with you.

The morning students had time for free play at the end of the class.

Have a happy weekend and we look forward to learning together again next week!
