Another day of learning together!

 

We used our fine motor skills to build with cubes, string beads and lace shape cards. We wrote our names in the afternoon, too.

 

 

 

 

We sang our morning circle songs & completed calendar in the afternoon. One friend brought in a special box that she decorated to show her friends!

 

 

 

Miss Kathy read Way Out In The Desert today. It follows the same pattern as Over In The Meadow. In the afternoon we talked about how we ALL live in the desert. The children had a hard time believing that I wasn't joking with them. They said that they live in a house, in Catalina & in town - not in the desert!

 

 

 

 

The morning students made a very cool collage art project. We used contact paper, with several children noticing it was sticky. We each had a box full of shapes in different sizes and colors. We had to listen carefully to know which shape to put on our sticky paper ("Get the little, yellow square."). After we followed the directions, we could choose some other little decorations to add to our collage. They turned out quite pretty. We will do this activity again because we were just strating to understand the concept.

 

 

In the afternoon we worked in our school books learning how to

 correctly form the letter "J".

 

 

 The afternoon class had lots of fun at "recess" today!
