More Halloween fun!

We started our day with some quiet books and puzzles!

Look at this cool puzzle we helped Miss Kathy complete!

The morning class enjoyed singing the ABC song & the ORANGE song.
We practiced our chant about the 5 little pumpkins. It goes like this...

5 little pumpkins sitting on the gate,
The first one says,"Oh my, it's getting late!"
The second one says, "There are witches in the air!"
The third one says, "But, we don't care!"
The forth one says, "Let's run and run and run!"
The fifth one says, "I'm ready for some fun!"
Then whooo went the wind and out went the lights.
And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.

Whooo went the wind....

The afternoon class completed the calendar, sang the ORANGE song
and listened to the number chant.

Miss Kathy shared a book with a new version of The Wheels On The Bus.
 It was spooky...

It was time to get up and move. We had fun marching and jumping on some
little pumpkin stickers as we counted.

The morning class had fun coloring some little Halloween pictures. We tried to remember to keep our eyes looking at what our hands were doing! We used a new, and very fun, type of crayon called Crayon Rocks. They are shaped like rocks! They helped us to work on improving our grasp.

The afternoon class reviewed the letters that we learned how to make in our school books during the first quarter of school. We used the wet-dry-try method on our small slates. The letters that we reviewed were L, F, E, H and T. They all start AT THE TOP, just like all capital letters.

We also worked with the entire alphabet by matching capital letters
and naming them.

It was such a nice day we found some time to work our
large muscles on the playground!

  1. Looks like it was a great day. Mason loves the 5 little pumpkins chant. He has the "Whoooo" part down.
