HAPPY...
We were all very happy to be back in school
with all of our friends!
We started our day by using our hands to feel inside a bag. We tried to find the item that Miss Elaine named without looking with our eyes! Tricky!
We played "pass the beanbag". You have to quietly watch as the beanbag passes, so you will be ready. We pass the bag across our body midline. We also got tricky and passed behind our backs and under our legs.
We worked our large muscles, too, by doing wheel barrows, rolling
and some zombie walks!
We sang our circle songs. The afternoon class completed calendar. Everyone will be helping to teach the calendar starting today! We will start small by answering more questions and leading counting. Eventually, we will teach
the whole lesson!! Our calendar looked pretty special today.
There were pumpkins in our class room today! We counted 4 of them. They are big and heavy! We are going to have fun with those pumpkins this week. Next week, we will turn them into something else...I wonder what that could be!
Miss Kathy shared a book about where pumpkins come from.
We enjoyed practicing our scissor skills by cutting straws into smaller pieces. Then we strung them on a length of yarn to make beautiful necklaces.
We had a new snack today. Everyone got a piece of whole wheat bread and a spoonful of grape jam. We spread the jam (using a craft stick) to make YUMMY sandwiches. It was a big hit!
