FRIDAY FUN!!
We began with books and puzzles again today. We just switched groups. It's fun to watch the children engaging more appropriately with books and puzzles, as they learn more about how to use them.
The morning class enjoyed circle songs! The afternoon class completed the calendar. Then they explored a learning poster that showed the life cycle of a pumpkin, from seed all the way to Jack-o-Lantern! We put some cards in correct order to show the sequence.
Miss Kathy shared some exciting news with us...we will be making our own class Jack-o-Lanterns on Tuesday! So, we read a fun book that gave us lots of ideas about faces we can carve into our pumpkins.
We were ready to move, so we practiced some ball skills. We kicked, rolled, threw and caught balls. We had a small, medium & large ball to play with today.
Miss Julie read a book describing many different sizes, shapes and colors of pumpkins. Then we pretended to go to a pumpkin patch. We had to listen carefully as Miss Julie instructed us on which pumpkin to pick.
The afternoon class worked on their number skills today, too. We had fun rolling dice, counting the dots to know our number, and writing that number
on a fun Halloween shape.
We had fun building together.
