THE CATERPILLARS HAVE ARRIVED IN ROOM # 8 !!!!

We had fun exploring in the sensory table when we arrived. There was rice, corn kernels, moonsand & snow! We also had a chance to practice a little building with the Duplo blocks.

We sang our songs and completed calendar. Then Miss Kathy read a story about a caterpillar that popped out of an egg and was very hungry. He ate & ate, as all caterpillars do. Then He rested and turned into a beautiful butterfly!

Then it was surprise time...

It was a BIG surprise that was this ----- big...

We are caterpillar parents. We have 10 baby caterpillars in room # 8! We will watch them grow & change!

In the morning, the kids played a game where they fed a caterpillar. They also worked with the alphabet & some had a chance to practice writing their names.

We had fun drinking applesauce from a straw for snacks!!

A bug on the rug....bugs everywhere.

We are excited to begin a new unit of study today.
We will be learning about insects.

We started our day finding matching bugs inside the tag bags. We had to use our finger skills to open those tricky bags. We enjoyed coloring our matching bugs with colored pencils.

We sang our circle songs and the afternoon class completed the calendar. We welcomed our newest friend, Gabe, today!

Miss Kathy read tow books today. They were about bugs!

We are going to be learning all about bugs. There will be a BIG surprise tomorrow!!!

This morning we counted bugs and worked with numbers. We also had fun making patterns with our bugs!

This afternoon we continued working in our school books on the letter Q.



 

 

At the end of the day we had some time to play and we ate pretzels and cuties. YUM!
