WOW...WEDNESDAY!
We enjoyed an easy start to our day. We had the opportunity to
choose between working with beads, puzzles or colors at the light table.
The morning class sang the alphabet and some color songs. We had
fun reviewing spatial concepts with the shaky eggs.
Shake it behind your back, under your legs, over your head...
The afternoon class did some alphabet work, completed the calendar
and did a group sound sort. Today we sorted pictures that had the
beginning sounds D, K and G. I am impressed!
We needed a movement break so we practiced some of our motor
skills in the morning! Then everyone wanted to dance The Freeze!
Miss Kathy shared some photos and stories about feelings that everyone
has sometimes. Today we learned about scared, surprised and disgusted.
We tried to show those feelings on our faces.
It's a bit hard to show angry when you are really feeling happy...
we have many very happy children in our class!
Can you guess how we are feeling?
Morning group work included fine motor work with tag bags.
We have to open bags with many different types of fasteners;
Buttons, snaps, hooks, Velcro and flaps. Buttons are tricky :)
Miss Julie and her groups focused on feeling scared. They shared a book
with photos and watched a short animated video starring Mater from Cars!
The rest of the afternoon class did a nice review of writing all of the capital letters. We have worked on each letter on a separate page already. Our school books will be coming home soon so you can see all of our hard work.
WWEDNESDAY...WOW!
