FUN FRIDAY!!
We started our day with many fun choices to enjoy sharing time with our friends. It's fun to watch the children in this less structured type of activity. What will they choose? Who will they interact with today?
The morning class sang the alphabet and color songs. We practiced tapping our names, to mark each syllable, using rhythm sticks. We have friends with one, two and three syllables in their names. We enjoyed shaking our scarves to dance for a quick movement break. Then we made some patterns.
The afternoon class sang our learning songs and completed the calendar. We danced and practiced some large motor skills. Then we experienced a fire drill. There was not a fire at school, but we are prepared to leave quickly if there would ever be one!
Miss Kathy read a book featuring one of our favorite story book characters - Biscuit!
Miss Julie worked with her Friday groups. They continued their learning about feelings. How do you feel when...? What does the person in the picture feel like?
Miss Kathy & Miss Pam worked on writing skills with their Friday groups.
In the morning, the children worked on tracing a shape pattern.
In the afternoon, the children learned the correct formation for a capital "Q". they wrote in their school books.
This special friend was a great helper as he cleaned all of our slates! |
It was a wonderful day!
