HIBERNATION

We started our day enjoying the sensory experience of shaving cream.
We made shapes, wrote our names, simply rubbed it around the
table and decorated our own bodies!

When the bell rings, we stop, look and listen!

We sang our learning songs and completed calendar at circle.
We also (literally) did a little song and dance to have a movement break!

Miss Kathy taught us a new word today - hibernation!
We learned some facts about bears that hibernate. We used our higher
level thinking skills to deduce why bears might sleep all winter.
Then we read a great book about a sleepy bear.

Both classes worked on the math skill of patterning. We made
many AB patterns in the morning. The afternoon class made
a variety of different patterns. First, we built patterns with the
colored bears. Next, we colored some bear patterns to match.
You will find those in our backpacks.
Can you find other patterns at home?

We enjoyed a delicious snack of chips and salsa!!
