FUN FRIDAY!!

Our morning fun started with a BIG SORT!
Miss Kathy made a mess with the bears. We helped her organize the bears into same color groups. Then Miss Kathy dumped them again! This time we helped sort them by size: small, medium and big. That was a little trickier!

The afternoon began with free choice play inside the classroom!
We all wrote our names, too!
It's always a fun morning!

We sang the alphabet, a color song and the shape song in the morning
circle. We also practiced speaking complete sentences, as we
answered questions about our names. We practiced some large motor skills.

Action shot!

The afternoon class also sang some learning songs and completed the
calendar. In case you have seen this at home, we have been practicing
snapping our fingers for one of our songs. We talk about the fact that
it IS hard and takes lots of practice. We also talk about the fact
that you can practice anywhere. They are trying so hard and one
friend has had a little success!
We had a dance break.

Miss Kathy shared a BIG book about all of the clothes people wear when they play in the snow. We could help read this book with her!
(Notice the afternoon class practicing sitting kindergarten style.)

Miss Julie played a game called "Where's the snowball?" with her Friday group in the morning. We practiced using complete sentences to tell Miss Julie which mitten we thought the snowball was hiding under.

The afternoon group did some cutting, ordering and gluing to
sequence the steps to build a snowman.

Miss Cindy & Miss Pam worked on coloring/writing tool grasp with their
 Friday morning group.

In the afternoon, Miss Kathy & Miss Cindy's groups worked on writing the Capital "C" in our school books.

A FUN & busy week!
See you next week!
