What can you find in the tall grass?

*I apologize, but there are no pictures from the afternoon class today. They will do the same story & activity. They will write numerals in their school books. I am leaving to attend a meeting. Miss Julie had to leave town for a family emergency. Afternoon class will return to the blog tomorrow. Thanks for understanding.

We had fun working puzzles when we arrived. Some of us got creative with our puzzles!

Miss Kathy read a fun book about different critters you could find in tall grass.

 We found lots of insects. Then we practiced moving like those bugs. Caterpillars crawl, bees buzz & fly, ants carry heavy things, and beetles scitter, scurry & move in a hurry!

We really liked working with numbers today. First we had to put our names on our papers. Some of us can write our names all by ourselves! We traced the numerals & then put the correct number of insects with the numerals. We used stickers & stamps. It was a good counting & fine motor activity.
