The life cycle of a butterfly...

We can name all the stages - Can you?

We loved watching out butterflies again today.

In the morning we colored lots of caterpillars. We will use them for another project later. There was lots of concentration.

In the afternoon we practiced writing when we arrived.

In circle we worked on our alphabet  and practiced some patterns. We completed the calendar in the afternoon.

Miss Kathy read a science book about butterflies.

We took turns being a caterpillar, chrysalis and butterfly.

We completed a paper where we had to put the stages of a butterfly life in order. It involved listening to directions, cutting, ordering and gluing. Then each child told an adult the name of each stage. It was easy because we have watched the life cycle come alive in class!

I apologize that there are no afternoon pictures today. We certainly took many, especially some of the birthday boy, Jaydin. The blog is not letting me upload pictures. I have to leave for a meeting and have no time to try to figure out what happened. We will try again tomorrow....
