Today we...

 

started with books and puzzles, in the morning.

 

 

The afternoon class started with name writing.

 

Everyone practiced singing our songs that we plan to share on Friday.

 

 

We had a ball with Miss Melani!

 

 

 

 

The afternoon class visited one of the older classes. We were invited to be an audience as they presented some awesome information

about animals from around the world. It was pretty awesome. They did research, visited the museum and took pictures and used the SmartBoard to show their research!

 

Miss Kathy shared a book about a little girl that planted some flowers in a pot. We are doing that tomorrow!

 

 

It was another busy day at preschool! 

 

Wow...are we busy!!!

 

We started our morning with water colors. Everyone enjoys how pretty the colors look as we glide the paint brush over the paper!

 

 

In the afternoon, we had time for free drawing. We really let our creative side show! After we fnished our pictures, we did some kindergarten sound spelling. We say the word slowly and listen for the sounds.

(We know a lot about the sounds the letters make!)

Everyone was more willing to attempt to write their word and with good results!

 

 

We sang songs in morning circle and calendar in the afternoon.

 

We had two centers today. With Miss Elaine, we decorated some clay pots. We will transplant some flowers into the pots later this week. You will see all of the

 beautiful flowers, in their pots, on Friday!

 

 

In the morning, Miss Kathy had us work on counting and numeral identification.

 

 

Miss Kathy read a great book to us about trees. We already knew that trees grow from seeds, but we learned more about why trees are so important. They provide homes for many living creatures and provide us with wood, pencils & paper. Trees help to clean the air and provide nice shade.

 

 

 

We had blackberries for snack. It was a new fruit to many of us.

 They had mixed reviews!

FUN FRIDAY!!

 

Our morning started with another big sort. Miss Kathy dumped the toys that we sorted into colors last week. This week sorted in a different way. We put like items together. There were dinosaurs, farm animals, transportation vehicles and keys. We did an amazing job!

 

 

The afternoon class loves Fun Friday!

 

 

 

 

We sang our ABC's and the shape song this morning.

 

 

The calendar was completed in the afternoon.

 

 

We read a book today and learned that some flowers grow from a very special kind of seed called a bulb.

 

 

We had fun making some pretty flowers using eye droppers

 and water color paints!

 

 

We were good listeners with Miss Julie. We colored our flower work from Wednesday with her today!

 

 

 

Look at the beautiful poster we made! We hung it in the hallway so everyone that comes to our schools 25th anniversary party tonight can see it. You can also look at it if you are coming to our end of the year celebration next Friday. Don't forget to R.S.V.P.
