Outside recess makes us feel HAPPY!!

We began our morning exploring shapes.

Our afternoon started with a writing lesson. We practiced tracing all 26 capital letters!

We sang our morning songs.

We completed the calendar lesson in the afternoon.

Miss Kathy shared a book that related our feelings to different colors.
Yellow is when I feel busy as a bee!

We worked in small groups to identify numers & put them in order. Then we counted sets of objects and found the number to match the set. We worked on using
a count and move strategy.

Then, it was finally time...

THERE WILL BE NO BLOG TOMORROW. I WILL BE OUT FOR THE DAY.
Our usual substitute, Miss Corrine, will be here with her guitar!
Look for us again next Tuesday.

How do you feel?

We worked on puzzles and read books when we arrived today.

We sang our circle songs this morning. We counted, too!

In the afternoon, we completed the calendar. The birthday queen had a friend help her decorate her crown! Happy Birthday!!

Miss Melani came to do Yoga with us. She also brought a new obstacle course for us. We felt a little scared because we had to climb over spiders and alligators! But, after we were finished, we felt strong and brave!

Miss Julie shared a book about some monsters. The monsters told us about how they feel when different things happen. We all have feelings. We can have different feelings from other people. Our feelings can change. It's okay to have different feelings. You can often tell how someone feels by knowing what is happening around them and by looking at their face.

The morning students completed a group sort. They picked pictures and sorted them into happy or sad groups on the chart.

The afternoon students did a happy monster march, a mad monster march...
Can you tell which monster we are marching like now?

In the afternoon, we finally finished working with our numbered eggs. We ordered and glued them down onto a paper.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, QUEEN!!

What a busy day!
