Lots of energy in the room today!

We had so much fun when we arrived at school. We played in the sensory tables. There was water, bubbles, shape sponges and water marbles (which are very cool things). It was interesting to play with all those wet things. We also had fun riding some vehicles. There was a tricycle, a bike that you use your feet to push a bar back & forth and another that you use your arms to push back & forth, to make them go. Too cool!! Some of the children had a hard time peddling the tricycle. If your child doesn't have one at home, it would be great if you could get one & practice. Riding a bike is a good motor skill to learn.

We sang our songs & completed calendar.

We listened as Miss Julie re read It's Not A Box.

Next, we worked on a secrect project. If you are able to attend the ice cream social on Wednesday, you will learn all about the secrect project then. But don't worry if you can't make it - we will provide a link on the blog so you can learn about the project Wednesday afternoon!

We had some time to enjoy books in the morning.

The afternoon class continued working in their school books.

Our snack was applesauce, with a straw, & animal crackers!

Another busy day...

Today we began our day by working our fine motor/finger skills. We had tops, wind ups and cubes. Some kids made pattern designs with their cubes.

We sang our circle songs and completed calendar.

It was fun to walk the stairs again. I am impressed with how many children are able to alternate feet, placing one foot - one step!

Miss Kathy read a book about some letters that were lost. The morning class was good at predicting what letter would be on the next page.

The afternoon class got to go into a kindergarten class room and watch the kindergarteners performance. They sang many songs and we liked it.

In the morning we enjoyed building Mat Man. We can make him by using lines and curves. We tried drawing our own Mat Man, too. Everyone is improving.

The afternoon class continued their letter writing work in their school books.

We had a simple, but yummy, snack of raisons & pretzels.
