Wonderful Wednesday!

 

We began our morning with some fine motor and color work. We practiced opening little tag bags with different kinds of fasteners. Some were easy, like the velcro, snap and loop. Others were more challenging, like the loop & hook and button. Inside each bag was a hidden surprise. We named and sorted our little objects into baskets by color.

 

In the afternoon we enjoyed refining our coloring skills in our school books.. We also practiced our name writing.

 

We sang our morning songs and the calendar was completed in the afternoon.

 

Miss Melani came to do some yoga with us. We also climbed the

stairs in the morning.

 

Miss Julie taught us the nursery rhyme about the cow that jumped over the moon. We got to take turns acting out the nursery rhyme, too.

Happy New Year!!

 

We were all happy to be together again and we had a fun day of learning!

Our day began with exploring in the sensory tubs. We had some familiar things, like corn, rice and moon sand. Miss Kathy got something new for us...kinetic sand. It feels & looks like sand but it moves. It does not stick to your hands. It is fun to play in the kinetic sand!

 

 

 

 

The afternoon class also did some bean bag passing and, of course, we worked on our name writing!

 

 

 

We sang our morning songs and completed the calendar.

 

 

 

We had fun in centers today. Miss Elaine brought some fun cows. If we squeezed their tummies, they would shot a little ball across the room. It sure made everyone laugh!

 

 

 

 

Miss Cindy read a book to us. If we were happy, we got to move in many different ways. The book is based on a popular song, If You're Happy And You Know It. We will add this song to our favorites. If you know it, you can sing it at home, too!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Miss Kathy played The Color Game with us in the morning.

 

 

Miss Vicki & Miss Kathy worked with us on the alphabet this afternoon.

 

 

 

We enjoyed talking with each other at snack. It sounds like everyone had a fun Christmas and we will count on a happy new year!
