What a cold day...
It's a good day for a great story, a snowman movie and hot chocolate with some friends!!

We played in the snow again today! We had to add some more water to turn the dry crystals back into the moist snow. Pretty amazing to watch!

We worked our large muscles by moving through an obstacle course.

Miss Julie shared a fun, lift the flap, book about a snowman that comes to life. Then our friends from Miss Diane's class, joined us for some hot chocolate and a great movie, based on our story, called The Snowman.

We had a great day! In fact, you don't have to take my word... Patrick said, "It was a fun day!" Valerie said, "I like that movie!"

We had some time to play at the end of our day. We are seeing more interactions between friends at play time!

The princesses wish you a great weekend!

We built a snowman this afternoon!!

When we arrived at school today, we explored shapes using the Four Squares.

We did some ABC work, sang about RED and sang our shape song at circle. We completed our calendar work. Then we walked the stairs. Everyone is doing well alternating feet on the steps.
These kids are almost ready for kindergarten!

We made some predictions about what a snowman might do at night when we are asleep (of course, we talked about how we would be using our imaginations because snowmen can't really move).
Then Miss Kathy read The Snowmen book and we found out if our predictions were correct.

We worked as a team and made a big snowman together!

It was a fun day!
We built a big snowman this morning!

When we arrived we had fun exploring and learning about shapes using the Four Squares.

In circle, we sang our ABC's, the RED song and our shape song. We practiced drawing circles (we always start at the top) and turning them into cats!

We worked our big muscles by walking the stairs. Everyone is getting more confident and successful putting only one foot on each step.

We made some predictions about what snowmen do at night and then Miss Kathy read a story so we could find out if we were right!

It took a team to build our big snowman!

We played in snow today!!

Well, it looked like snow, it was cool like snow, but it wasn't really snow! The snow powder is fun to make. It starts out looking like salt. When you add water, it turns into nice snow! It was a big hit!

Miss Julie read a story about what you need to make a snowman. Then we worked on answering "who" questions about the story. Who built the snowman? The boys & girls did.

Miss Julie helped us play a following directions using spatial concepts and size. We had to listen carefully.
The morning students worked on drawing circles, squares & triangles.
The afternoon class got their very own school book. It will help us learn how to write all of the capital letters.
We also worked on writing our names on a line.

We had our first snowmen projects arrive at
school today!! Aren't they great?

Some of you have asked for the due date. You can take as long as you need to have fun finishing your projects!

P.S. The Blogger is still making importing and placing photos. Be patient with me as I take so long to complete the process. I hope you enjoy...

*I apologize for the late posting. The blogger is having problems with downloading pictures. It took us a long time to find a way around the issue. I hope this problem is resolved quickly!

Happy New Year!!
It was great to see all our friends again!
We went ice skating today!!

We are going to focus on learning the names of our shapes. We sang a song
today about squares, rectangles, triangles and circles.

We read a great story about building a snow family.

We thought it would be fun to make our own snow family of friends. Look for the special home project information coming home today. Have fun!!
