Jingle Bells...
Today we made our own Jingle Bell bracelets. We had to string some bells on a long pipe cleaner. It took lots of finger work. We now will be able to jingle our bells as we sing!

Miss Kathy read us a book about a cute dog named Biscuit. Bisciut can talk! He says, "Woof! Woof!"

Miss Julie had a fun book about a reindeer's adventures. The reindeer went over some trees and under some power lines! So did we!

Thanks Miss Melanie for the trees and power lines!

We also practiced identifying numerals and counting sets of Christmas trees.
We had a delicious snack of sunflower seed butter and crackers...YUM!

"It's Christmas!!"
That's what the kids said when they walked in the room today.

We enjoyed working in shaving cream today. Yes, I said shaving cream. It provides a nice sensory experience and lets us write and erase many times. We practiced drawing shapes and letters. We even tried to draw a snowman!

Yes, that is shaving cream on my nose.

Miss Kathy shared a Christmas pop up book with us. It was kind of buggy, but we loved it!

Miss Yvonne brought some fine motor/visual perceptual activities for us. We had to take the ornaments to the trees or the reindeer to Santa, while staying on the road. Tricky! We used little crayons and had to pinch them to hold them. We can practice on the same page at home using different colors or writing tools. Then we had to use scissors to cut on straight and curvy lines. It was important for us to keep our eyes watching what our hands were doing so we could stay on the lines.

We had a delicious snack of graham crackers and pumpkin spice cream cheese. We had to spread our own cream cheese...YUM!!

We hope all of our friends that were absent today are feeling better. We missed you!
