Say, "CHEESE"!
Our day started with having our pictures taken. Individual pictures only;
no group picture in the spring. The packets should arrive in a few weeks.
 We will send them home. If you like the pictures, you can purchase them
 If you do not want to purchase them, simply return the packet to school.

We began a big group art project. We are making a garden. Each class
has a big paper, with big flowers & grass on it. We are going to create a different insect, to add to the garden, each week. Today we used a pipe cleaner & beads to create caterpillars. We also used a hole punch to make holes in leaves. It looks like our caterpillars have been munching away!

The morning class sang some learning songs. The afternoon class
 completed a quick calendar lesson. The afternoon class also enjoyed a beautiful book, called Waiting For Wings. It showed the life cycle of a butterfly.

Miss Julie worked with her morning group on size concepts and speaking in complete sentences to tell about what we will feed a caterpillar.
The little caterpillar ate a big cupcake.

Miss Kathy's morning group counted some insects, the enjoyed being entomologists. We used magnifying glasses to explore plastic insects. How many legs does it have? Does it have wings? What colors are on it?

We have had 3 friends turn 5 in one week. Here are our
 birthday kings and queen!

The afternoon class celebrated a birthday today with ice cream!
Happy Birthday, Friends!

It was a fun, and very busy, day!
