TOGETHER ON TUESDAY...

Outside recess - the best way to start the week!

I see you!

We always take the time to dump the sand from our shoes.
It's very distracting to all of us when it comes inside, then out of our shoes, onto the rug.

The morning class enjoyed singing our learning songs.
The afternoon class completed the calendar lesson and worked
on learning about lower case letters, too.

Miss Kathy shared a book that told about one of the largest groups
of animals on Earth - beetles!

We all needed a little movement break.

We made beetle bop names in the morning. We traced the letters of
our name, colored the beetle that our letters were on, cut them apart,
re-ordered them and glued them down.
I was impressed with our cutting skills and our ability
to order the letters of our names.

The afternoon class worked in their school books to learn to correctly
 form a capital P and a capital B.

We had a great day playing and learning together!

FUFRIDAY !
We had Fun Friday time when we arrived today. We could choose to
explore at the sensory table, ride the trike, pull the wagon, shoot hoops,
use magnifying glasses to look at insects, or build with blocks or trains.
It's always a popular start to the day!

The morning class sang their learning songs and worked on names.
We raised our hands when Miss Kathy showed our names. We
answered her question when she asked, "What is your name?"
We used full sentences and tried to tell our first AND last names.
We also identified our initials.

We had another block building team challenge. We are working on waiting
for and being ready to take our turn. We also are refining our fine motor
skills as we stack the blocks higher.

The afternoon class worked with the alphabet, completed calendar
 and worked on names, too.

Miss Kathy shared a science book about butterflies. Then, we role played the life cycle of a butterfly! That was fun!
(Sorry morning class, the batteries died on the camera at that time.)

Miss Pam worked with her morning group to feed a small  & big caterpillar.
The kids used full sentences to tell what size and which food they were
 going to feed the caterpillars.

Miss Kathy studied insects, using magnifying glasses, with her morning group.

In the afternoon, we tried working in our handwriting books in a new way.
We all worked as one whole group. We laid on our tummies on the floor
to work. This helps build strength in our upper bodies, as we prop
 ourselves on our elbows.

Have a happy weekend
&
GO WILDCATS !!
