Friday = Fun day!!
We got ready to learn by exploring with the 4 squares & shapes. As we use these materials more, I am seeing more creative ideas & hearing more math vocabulary!
Miss Kathy read a story about polar bears today. We learned about what they eat, how they move & how their moms teach them how to survive. We looked at the globe again to find the Arctic. We also talked about how water is always blue on maps & globes. Some of us enjoyed reading another book with Arctic animals together.
In the morning we got to participate in a school wide event. This week was the No Bullying Week. Copper Creek had many activities for the school age students throughout the week. The culminating activity had all students & staff, plus some students from other schools, make a big BE KIND symbol on the field. An airplane flew over & took our picture! Then a couple dozen white doves were released. We loved watching them fly over us. It was exciting!! You can watch the channel 11 & 13 news tonight
& maybe you will see our school on the news.
The afternoon class came up with a list of 10 words that start with the "P" sound. Miss Kathy shared the pen so we each had a turn to write the letter P on the chart.
We enjoyed celebrating Bryan's Happy 5th Birthday!
