Another great day at school!

We had fun cutting and painting cats, with water color paints, this morning when we arrived!

In the afternoon we tried something a little different. We began class by working in our school books. We used 4 big, wooden lines to build a capital "M". Then we practiced writing M in our books. We all know the sound the letter M makes, it's mmm...

We sang our morning songs and counted using the shaky eggs.

The calendar was completed in the afternoon. We counted to 50, too!

Miss Kathy shared a book in the morning where we learned which color the cat liked best. We took turns telling everyone our favorite color using the microphone. Then we played some cat card games. We counted, sorted by size and then by color.

Miss Kathy read a book in the afternoon, that showed photos of cats doing many things. Then we worked on reading color words to match to different colors of cats in the pocket chart. Because we are getting so good at knowing sounds that letter make, we are able to get our mouths ready with the sounds and it helps us read the word!

Thursday is outside recess day!! We had fun playing with our friends and eating a snack at the picnic tables. It was a great day!
