WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!!

We had so much fun creating beautiful pictures when we arrived today. We did rubbings with insects & leaves. The trickiest part is laying the crayon flat on the paper & rubbing. We work so hard on pinching writing tools that it is hard to try a new way :)

We sang all the color songs today! Whew...
We also completed calendar in the afternoon. I can't even trick those big kids about the numbers disappearing from the calendar, because they are all so calendar wise about how there is always the next month.

We strectched our bodies with yoga work today...it feels so good!

Zac tried a new way of walking today!! EXCITING!

Miss Kathy read a book about some ladybugs that disappear one by one. The morning class practiced counting up to 10 bugs and recognizing numerals. The afternoon class worked on counting backwards.

The afternoon class practiced sitting "kindergarten style" to listen to the story. We really worked hard to "pay attention" as we sat in this new arrangement.

Miss Julie had a fun Hungry Caterpillar game where we practiced feeding different kinds of food to a caterpillar & telling how many pieces of food our caterpillar ate. It was nice to see how well the children wait for their turns when playing games.

The afternoon class wrote a letter "D" in their school books and shared the pen to make a list of words that start with the /B/ sound.

Our snack was yummy...cookies & strawberries!

  1. That picture of Zac walking is just so darling. Ben sometimes tells me about the exciting things other kids are learning. (Words they can say, things they can now do.) He is always so happy for everyone. Zac is so cute.
