Shapes Everywhere!

We started our day by tracing letters with wikki-stix. It got our fingers warmed up & helped us get ready to learn.
Tha afternoon class practiced writing their names, too.

We sang our circle songs and practiced some tricky patterns this morning (blue, blue, orange).

The afternoon class completed the calendar.

Miss Melani led us in our yoga exercises.

Miss Kathy read a book about shapes. We can see many things around us everyday made from shapes we know. We found a rectangle door, a circle clock, a triangle cushion & a square book, among other things.
Can you find them at home, too?

Let's pretend we are blowing bubbles. Can you make your mouth a cirlce shape?

The morning class worked with a partner to order all the capital letters. There was some nice turn taking & team work happening!

The afternoon class continued working in their school books.

There was some free play time in the morning.

We enjoyed a slurrpy yogurt snack with crackers (applesauce for allergies).

We had a good day, but we missed Miss Shari & hope she feels better very soon.

  1. Very cute. Ben loves writing in those books. And I love to see Brian there holding his letter B, because we always hear that Ben and Brian both start with B. Brian is a good little buddy!
