Mat Man came to school today...

Our day began with some sorting activities. We sorted by color today. In the morning we all worked together. In the afternoon, Miss Kathy was feeling onery and she dumped a big basket of objects on the floor.... We worked as a team to put all of the objects in the right color basket. What fun!!

 

 

 

We sang the alphabet, shape and RED song at circle time.

 

 

 

 

We continued to work on the large motor skill of standing on one foot. We have to start calmly & quietly, so we can focus on our balance. After that we were ready to get moving, so we danced The Freeze! When the music stops, we have to freeze like a popsicle!

 

 

Miss Kathy shared a book that showed us that we are each very special!

 

 

Miss Elaine came today and brought a very fun tunnel

that we could crawl through!

 

 

 

 

We met Mat Man today as we built him from big lines, little lines, big curves and little curves made from wood! We enjoyed following along with the Mat Man song as we put him together. We will be using these wooden pieces all year to learn concepts and capital letter formation through the

Handwriting Without Tears curriculum.
