Fun Together...

We started our day by exploring thera-putty (it's very much like Silly Putty). We had to use our pinching fingers to pull the putty and discover hidden toys inside. Then we rolled the putty, like a snake, and used scissors to cut it. We also made some pretty pictures by laying our crayons down flat and rubbing over the paper. We put raised designs under the paper. It's very tricky to lay the crayons flat!



At circle time, the morning class sang their songs.

We all love the shape song!

The afternoon class completed the calendar. We take turns pointing to the letters of the alphabet as we sing it. Today we used a light up pointer.

It was fun to get up and move through an obstacle course!

Miss Kathy read a story about some silly monkeys. Everyone helped to read it!

The monkeys bumped their heads & the Dr. said....

We explored some wooden lines and curves. Some were big and some were small. We played a following directions game with the wooden pieces. The wooden pieces will help us learn to draw shapes and write letters!

The afternoon class got a surprise...a new schoolbook! It will teach us how to write letters. We will use it all year long and then bring it home to keep at the end of the school year.
