We were happy to see each other after the weekend!

We spent some time studying leaves by looking through the magnifying glasses again. We completed leaf rubbings. The crayons had to lay down and that is tricky. We had a couple of special visitors this morning; Dr. Patrick Nelson, the Superintendent of Amphitheater Public Schools, and our Principal,
Diana Walker. They liked our rubbings!

Miss Kathy read a brand new book to us. It was fun to pick out the man and the animals, made from leaves, in the story.

Then we worked in groups. We designed some pretty flowers. We picked the color and what shape we wanted in the middle of our flower. Then we practiced saying a sentence to describe our flowers. In the other group, we explored a new set of materials. They were called 4 Squares, More Squares. We will use these to help us learn many math concepts this year!

Finally, we had some fun movement activities. A new one was riding the trike and the standing bike.

  1. I can just imagine Ben loving riding that bike. This looks like a lot of fun! Thanks again.
